Kiwi New Energy launches first home green electricity subscription platform | eTreego joins in green electricity popularization milestone

Shiling Electric expands into the charging pile industry and is poised for continued growth next year.

The chairman of the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research and Innovation Association stated, "The sustainable energy sector has been a hot topic in the venture capital market in recent years, and Kiwi New Energy is the best proof of this." The secretary-general of the Taiwan Green Power Application Association further reminded us that "Taiwan's grey power ratio is still too high, and the introduction of green power into households is Taiwan's only path to zero carbon." Therefore, the press conference saw a rare gathering of future net-zero carbon emission ecosystems, including: eTreego Green Energy, ideal Ideal Business Space, and other green power lifestyle partners, who jointly declared the beginning of the last mile of popularizing green power to the public.

The founder of Kiwi New Energy explains that its home green electricity subscription platform offers three key advantages: direct delivery from Taipower, smart green electricity concierge services, and affordable electricity rates. Kiwi New Energy's green electricity is delivered directly from Taipower's transmission and distribution network, ensuring stable power supply while using green electricity. This is complemented by a free priority smart meter replacement service, requiring no additional installation or contract, and allowing for seamless transfers after subscription. All green electricity is sourced with renewable energy certificates, ensuring subscribers are guaranteed reliable green electricity.

The head of the National Renewable Energy Certificate Center of the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs, explained that the concept of renewable energy certificates is a "green electricity identity card." One certificate will be issued for every 1,000 kWh of electricity. This not only verifies the authenticity of green electricity, but also creates a win-win situation for the economy and the environment through the same certificate operation model as other countries. The government is pleased to see private enterprises actively responding to government policies.

For mid- to high-income electricity users, such as families of four, retirees, and those working from home, subscribing to Green Power can save 5% on their annual electricity bills. If all high-energy-consuming households in Taiwan were to join the Green Power initiative, it would be equivalent to planting 85 million trees annually. To encourage subscriptions, a special promotional offer is available: the first 1,000 applicants will receive a 10% discount on their monthly electricity bills for the first six months. As the world moves toward net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, electricity providers in the UK, Japan, the US, and Singapore have all begun offering 100% renewable energy, allowing consumers to enjoy a variety of green electricity subscription options. Kiwi New Energy (KiWi), a green electricity technology startup, has officially launched Taiwan's first home green electricity subscription platform. Leveraging proprietary AI and blockchain technology, KiWi allows consumers to easily subscribe to green electricity in just three minutes. This green electricity is directly delivered by Taipower and helps diagnose household electricity usage. A key selling point of this new service is its affordable rates.
