Collaborating with Industry Partners to Drive Sustainable Momentum for Taiwan’s E-Buses | eTreego at ITRI’s “Electric Bus DMIT Showcase”
eTreego was invited to participate in the “Electric Bus DMIT Complete Vehicle and Key Component Industry Promotion Showcase” hosted by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Together with vehicle manufacturers, key component suppliers, and research units, we shared the latest technological achievements and discussed industry trends, demonstrating the growing localized strength of Taiwan’s electric bus supply chain.
Dual-Core Technology: Demonstrating R&D Strength

At the showcase, eTreego highlighted two key technological achievements, embodying our comprehensive capability in “Vehicle-Charger Integration”:
- Bus-Specific EVCC (Electric Vehicle Communication Controller): As the core achievement of this DMIT project, the EVCC acts as the “communication brain” of the electric bus. It ensures stable protocols and cybersecurity between the vehicle and charging equipment, realizing the goal of autonomous domestic production for key components.
- MAGNUS 240kW DC Charger: A high-power charging system designed specifically for large vehicles. It provides efficient energy replenishment and serves as a robust backbone for electric bus depot operations.
Deepening Operational Insights to Solve Depot Pain Points
Beyond hardware displays, we shared our team’s application results in charging technology development, safety management, and insights into depot operational needs. Through practical data and on-site experience, we explored with our partners how to improve depot operational efficiency, strengthen charging safety, and accelerate the localized deployment of charging infrastructure. Our goal is to address the actual pain points faced by bus operators during their transition to electrification.
Towards a Cleaner, Smarter Transportation Future
The event featured enthusiastic exchanges, with valuable insights offered regarding collaboration models for high-power charging and bus operational scenarios. We firmly believe that a resilient green transportation ecosystem can only be built through complete technical integration and collaborative cooperation. Looking ahead, eTreego will continue to delve into green charging, assisting fleets, bus depots, and smart city energy systems in building a more robust foundation for electrification. We look forward to working with more partners to create a perfected green transportation ecosystem—not only to accelerate the localization of Taiwan’s electric bus industry but also to bring MIT (Made in Taiwan) green transportation capabilities to the global stage!
